Choose your path for MCDBA certification MCDBA candidates will be required to pass three core exams and one elective exam. There are two core exams relating to SQL Server that are required, and a choice of one of the three Networking System exams to make up the final of the three required core exams. Finally, pass one elective exam to complete the certification. Core Exams (3 Exams Required) To fulfill the core certification requirements, pass both SQL Server Adminstration and SQL Server Design.
Then, pass one of the Networking System exams.
